On Creativity...

I love learning new techniques... The neckline finish on this sweater by Carol Feller, Pistachio Saffron ended up being pretty cool!  I failed at my first attempt then checked the link on her pattern page to get a better idea how to go about it.  Worked great!

This is how it looked before doing the edging.  I finished the sweater last night and need to get it blocked before the cold front arrives Wednesday!  Yea!  I just hope I will WEAR and ENJOY it!  Ha!  My history with sweaters is weak.

The Christmas Spirit is slowly spreading through the house...

In that Spirit, I want to share this link with you:

LOVE this video... Resonates...

Tapping into our creativity... it's a good thing.

Wishing you a wonderful day!

Your sweater looks awesome! It looks so warm and cozy. I love learning new things, too, and that neck line looks great. Thank you for the video. I think it's a constant battle for creative people, it's that age old battle we have within when we create something...is it art? Once you let go of all that and just create, once you allow your true self to appear and just be you...it gives you a freedom that nothing and no one else can provide.

You always remind me with every single blog post, of just how talented and awesome you are sweet friend. You bring light and love into everyones life you come across. Your talents are many, and your kindness and understanding are wells of strength that refresh and renew all who are blessed to know you.

Wishing you a day filled with many blessings sweet friend. ((hugs)) : )

Love the neckline. And the antlers do come in handy, don't they? I left you a message on Ravelry this morning. Have a great day.

Once again I love the sweater colors! And the little caps! One of my mentees, who long ago passed me in her crocheting skills proudly showed me several of those she had made! Sweet! I enjoyed the inspiring video--even to watching the various modes of her artwork.

Great video..I am taking The Fancy Lassies class there..K/THompson..what fun..art supplies..what great fun.
I am never bored..just a wannabe in everything but enjoy it all so much and am so grateful for the desire to play as a child..quiet..on my own..in a little world away from harm's way.

You are SO creative..in all you do..reflected in all your posts w/ the beautiful things you create.

Your knit sweater looks so cozy and warm, Tanna, and I love the colors. Your knitted hats look like Christmas balls hanging so colorfully! Lucky the recipients that get one as a gift!

I watched the video--what a pretty studio this artist has! I try to do a creative art project with my grandchildren whenever I am with them. It calms them and we have the best conversations as they create.

I always feel your joy in your creations and the beauty makes me happy. Thank you for the gift of the video, I watched it twice. I love that she spoke of giving ourselves permission to be amateurs and the gift to practice. Things that should be simple but we often forget them. She spoke of our creations reaching beyond ourselves, into our world--what a lovely thing to believe, an important thing.

Your sweater is going to be amazing. I am at the point in my life where I am too tired to try to many new things, I just am trying to do what I can and stay calm. If it makes you feel better my history with sweaters and shawls is pretty sketchy.

I enjoyed the video - lovely to watch and something to think about - thanks for sharing. And, of course, I loved the sweater as well, good for you trying new things.
